Ieva Dudaite

Ieva Dudaite, one of the most promising Lithuanian pianists of her generation, has a rather lengthy record of concerts and performances on stages around the world. She has delighted the public with many concerts, for example, in Lithuania, the Netherlands,Italy, Germany, Mexico and Czech Republic. Born in Lithuania in 1990, she is the winner of several 1st prizes and Grand Prix at international competitions, such as International Chamber Music Competition “Musical Bridges-2 2008” in Kaunas, International Young Accompanist Competition in Vilnius, “Concorso di Interpretazione musicale di Genova 2007 and 2008” in Italy. Ieva has been selected as the finalist of the Yamaha Foundation Scholarship Competition 2014 in Groningen, the Netherlands. She has consequently been awarded diplomas and honourable mentions from the Lithuanian presidents Valdas Adamkus and Dalia Grybauskaite as well as the Lithuanian government for her outstanding musical achievements. The pianist has taken masterclasses with Maureen Jones, Dario de Rosa, and Enrico Bronzi at the Trio di Trieste Chamber Music Academy, where she held an honorary scholarship 2009-2010. She received masterclasses from Valentina Berman and Constantin Sandu, Marianna Shirinyan and Peter Donohoe. In 2014, Ieva has passed several selections to masterclasses by the renowned pianists Alexander Melnikov and Till Fellner in DeSingel, Antwerp. On April 10, 2014, Ieva has been selected as a winner of an audition to play as a soloist with Maastricht Conservatorium Orchestra conducted by Arjan Tien in April, 2015. Ieva Dudaite’s wide-ranging repertoire extends from the baroque epoch up until the music of the 21st century. One of her special motivations is the popularization of the Lithuanian repertory. Recently, a Dutch composer Wim Zwaag has composed a piano-cello sonata for her duo, which will be premiered in November.
